Double Honors/Advanced Placement Program (HH/AP)
Students who qualify for this program take classes beyond the honors level in preparation for Advanced Placement college level classes in Junior and Senior Year. Students are able to select 4 years of English, History, Science, Math and French, Spanish, German or Arabic. Students do not have to be in all double honors classes; schedules are developed with consideration for a student’s total academic load. Qualified students from the attendance area and the Performing Arts Program are also scheduled into HH/AP classes. At least three Advanced Placement courses are required before graduation. Lincoln Park offers over 15 Advanced Placement classes.Admission: Selective on the basis of scores, academic record and attendance.Students should be at the EXCEEDS level in Reading (+267 Scale Score) and/or Math (+281 Scale Score) on 7th grade ISATS or the 85%-ile on a different nationally normed test. Seventh grade June grades (Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies) should be at least a B average (no F’s).Application:Thank you for your interest in Lincoln Park High School's magnet programs.
