Thank you for visiting the Lincoln Park High School Baseball Page.
We hope that you enjoy learning more about our program. Over the past several years, the LP Baseball Program has grown into one of the largest programs in the city with over 35 active members.
During the 2009 Conference Season, the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams both won the Jackie Robinson North Conference, and we took great strides in enhancing the baseball experience of our hardworking student athletes. We expect to ardently compete with the top teams in the city this season and continue to bring pride and excitement to the Lincoln Park community. We hope to see you at our home diamond at Oz Park to cheer on our teams. Please continue to check out our website to read our weekly baseball bulletins and current game highlights. Our Motto: We strive to build and maintain a baseball program that will inspire pride in the school and community. We are unwaveringly dedicated toward building a tradition of excellence that will make Lincoln Park High School a baseball destination school; a school that will attract opportunities for our athletes to earn scholarships. Lastly, we will motivate and inspire our athletes to reach their own optimal potential through the C.L.A.S.S. culture.

C.L.A.S.S. refers to a culture at LPHS Baseball. It is how we as a program will identify ourselves. It is broken down into words that embody all that we hope to instill in our members

What is C.L.A.S.S.?
• Character
• Leadership
• Athleticism
• Scholarship
• Sacrifice
C-haracter- moral or ethical quality; qualities of honesty, courage, or the like; integrity [kar-ik-ter]
The LPHS Baseball program will inspire young men to improve his character through athletics. Integrity, honor, discipline, and work-ethic are all values and principles of a person’s character that can be taught on a baseball diamond. These learned attributes can be carried on through adulthood.
L-eadership - the position or function of a leader; an act of leading and guidance [lee-der-ship]
Our program will be committed toward teaching our players how to become effective leaders. This will be executed by modeling sound leadership qualities, holding people accountable for their actions, and putting the athletes in roles that will bring out their leadership attributes. The program commits itself toward guiding and assisting this process with earnest respect and care.
A-thleticism- physically active and strong; good at athletics or sports; of or pertaining to athletes; involving the use of physical skills or capabilities, as strength, agility, or stamina [ath-let-ik]
The Lincoln Park Lion’s baseball program will be responsible for developing athletes to attain their own optimal potential as athletes. This will be accomplished by developing and planning a wide array and continuous amounts of: practices, drills, workouts, scrimmages, and games in order to bring out the best athletic abilities possible for our young men.
S-cholarship- learning; knowledge acquired by study [skol-er-ship]
One of our most central endeavors is our commitment toward helping our athletes develop and succeed as academic students. We will work with teachers, parents, administrators, and other support staff members to help a student balance his academic and athletic responsibilities. We pledge to never put athletic endeavors above academic success.
S-acrifice- the surrender or destruction of something prized or desirable for the sake of something considered as having a higher or more pressing claim. [sak-ruh-fahys]
Being a member of our baseball program is a special privilege that requires certain sacrifices. A member’s commitment to the overall success of the program carries with it a frequent surrender of time, energy, and ego in order to promote the program’s collective success.
