About Dr. Daniels

Lincoln Park HS Students, Faculty, and Families--

I am honored to serve as Assistant Principal at Lincoln Park High School. To give you a little background on me, I am the father of three children - Ayanna, Will II, and John. I love to stay physically active, explore the great outdoors, and travel when I have time. I enjoy cooking, mostly on the grill, and a good conversation. I have a BS in Engineering from the University of Illinois - Urbana, an MS in Engineering from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, an MA in Teaching from the University of Southern California, and a Doctorate of Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I spent more than 20 years in Information Technology as a Software Engineer and a certified project manager in the Telecommunications Industry before I started my education career.

I am starting my tenth year as an educator - a career that I enjoy tremendously. I taught High School math for five years in CPS and served as an Instructional Coach/Math Teacher at a middle/high school in the South Loop. For the past three years, I have served as Assistant Principal at a CPS elementary school and high school, where I focused on developing school leadership, building instructional capacity, creating a robust school-wide culture and climate, and managing day-to-day school operations.

As your Assistant Principal, I will:

  • Always make decisions in the best interest of our students
  • Provide a clear vision for school improvement
  • Advocate for our students, school, and community
  • Effectively and consistently communicate school progress with stakeholders
  • Focus on building Lincoln Park as a school of choice and THE top neighborhood school in Chicago
  • Lead by example

Please feel free to reach out to me via email or phone at any time! My e-mail is wddaniels@cps.edu and my phone is 773-534-8081. I am excited to be here and I look forward to a wonderful year.

With Lion Pride!

William D. Daniels, EdD
