Experience and Education

Mr. Cooper is in his Twenty-second year of directing choirs at Lincoln Park. Prior to his position at LP he was the director of choirs and bands at Round Lake High School in northern Illinois. Tim holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and his Masters in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music. He is also an avid performer and baritone soloist, and has performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Russian Kirov Symphony Chorus. Tim has also served as an IMEA District 1 Senior Chorus Co-Chairperson.

What do you do / teach here at LPHS? Other involvement?

In addition to directing the schools premier choir, Chamber Singers, he also directs the Male Chorus, Women’s Chorale and the Barbershop quartet. He also teaches Computer Science, and is the co-director for the school musical.

Brief Personal Statement

Mr. Cooper is married and has two children. Some of his hobbies include cooking, biking, camping, being redundant, poorly impersonating celebrities/movie characters, and being redundant.
