Principal's Message

Dear LPHS Students and Families,
There is so much that I love about LP, it is hard to fit on one section of our website, but I will give it a try.

We offer rigorous and supportive academics in our IB Middle Years, Career, and Diploma Programmes and in Honors and Double Honors and one of the top Arts programs in the state.

We have an excellent sports program that is highly competitive, but also welcoming, so whether you are an NCAA Division 1 prospect or you just love your sport and want to have fun, there is a place for you in our program.

Clubs include Debate, Model UN, Best Buddies, culture clubs, majorettes, ping pong, A-pop, ultimate Frisbee, and new ones that are started by students every year.
We are the most diverse school in the Chicago area because we have academic as well as racial and socio-economic diversity. Because we want all students to succeed, we are always collaborating, observing each other teach, going to training, and looking for ways to improve.

When LP students graduate, they go to the colleges of their dreams. After college, whether its actor Freddy Rodriguez, State’s Attorney Kim Foxx, Michael Ash, Economics Chair at UMass, Josh Saltzman, owner of 3 popular restaurants in DC, Lucas, using his History writing skills and Arabic to intern with the Egyptian Consulate of Chicago, or Kemda, working with Chance the Rapper’s foundation to register young people to vote, LP grads are doing amazing things.

There are a lot of good high schools in Chicago, but to me, none better than Lincoln Park High School.

Sincerely,
Michael Boraz, Principal
