Experience and Education
Ms. Aten has taught at LPHS for sixteen years. Prior to teaching she worked in association management for several health care associations in Chicago. She also taught secondary mathematics overseas, in Mali, West Africa and the United Arab Emirates, for several years after graduating from college.Ms. Aten holds a BA in Mathematics/Statistics from Miami University in Oxford, OH and an MA in International Education from New York University in New York, NY.

Ms. Aten currently teaches Precalculus, IB Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation SL. Brief Personal Statement
Ms. Aten loves travel adventures, eating delicious food, reading a good book and outdoor activities like hiking. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and dog.
