Personal Project

Project Overview

Considered by the IB as a student’s culminating experience in the MYP, the Personal Project is an extensive, independent inquiry into a topic of choice in which students demonstrate and apply the skills they have learned. Students explore their passion using a variety of primary and secondary research sources and synthesizing their findings, culminating with the creation of a product presented at the Personal Project Fair in the spring of their 10th grade year. In addition to the product, students are required to complete a Process Journal and a Written Report (a process reflection paper). This exciting independent learning opportunity is designed for all of our 10th grade students, and as such we showcase over 500 projects at our Personal Project Fair each year.
