Calendar for College/Career Visits

College/Career Visits! College and Career Room 112

Seniors and Juniors can sign up for college visits happening during September, October and November. College and Career visits will take place in the College and Career Lab, Room 112, unless otherwise specified. Freshmen and Sophomores will be allowed to attend visits in the spring, not the fall.

Students must report to their class first to receive a pass from a teacher. Depending on your class schedule, you will receive a permission slip to serve as a lunch pass or for you to be marked excused from your class. You sign up for college visits through your SchooLinks account.

How to sign up for college visits:

Log in to SchooLinks with your CPS username and password.
Go to the "Events" tab at the top of your dashboard.
Find the school visit that you are trying to attend and select it
Next, click "Register for this event" and complete the form. Then you are all set.

College/Career Visit Times:

For Colleges, all visits will be during 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Period. Some will be held on Wednesdays.
For Careers, it can happen any day of the week. It will be held during the 7th and 8th periods.

Some rules for the College Visits are as follows:

Must sign up at least 1 day before the event
Report to class first for a pass, then come down for a college/career visit.
Please have a pass and check in with Mr. Young upon arrival.
If it is during your class period, you are responsible for all work missed.
Must arrive at the college visit on time and be respectful to our presenter
Respect your teacher's rules for college visits and leaving the class
