Reflective Project

Considered by the IB as the heart of the Career-Related Programme, the Reflective Project is a sustained, research-based project in which students strive to resolve an ethical dilemma involving an issue they may encounter in their career. The project involves exploring various issues in students’ respective career pathways, identifying a significant ethical dilemma raised by a particular issue they find interesting, and analyzing that dilemma from the perspectives of the communities/individuals. In doing so, students evaluate both secondary sources (academic journals, articles, reliable data, etc.) and primary sources (interviews, surveys, focus groups of the people affected by the dilemma), and synthesize this evidence using their own reasoning to arrive at a personal, well-informed and well-reasoned point of view.
